Dear Member, Thank you for joining Habruta Night of Shaare Zion Torah Center, in which community members will get together with a brother, a friend, a classmate, a neighbor, a co-worker or fellow congregant to learn one-hour, a week, wherever, whenever.
We have seen a wave of people join, in many different Shuls in the try state area and abroad.
Many Shuls, Rabbis, Learners find it easy. It’s a small commitment, each week is a new topic. Even those who have a weak Gemara background enjoy it.
The goal: To learn with a person one on one, neither being the teacher nor the student but rather learning together. No one should be lecturing, it should be interactive.
What to learn: The both of you can choose together what you feel is most appropriate and enjoyable. Topic: Can be Gemara, Mishnayot, Humash, Halacha or Mussar, Tefilla, The 613 Mitzvot, The 6 daily mitzvot.
If you like we offer various topics such as laws of prayers, tzedaka, business and finances, etc.
They will be broadcasted weekly on WhatsApp, or posted on this website.
Shuls will announce that once a week with refreshments when they will be learning.
Preferably, so it stays long term.
One Person who has a little bit of background of Gemara experience will learn with someone who is new to the program. If that option is not available many Shuls, have groups in which a Rabbi teaches a group.
